instead of going to meetings.. ( we discovered we could have lunch*margaritas* without the meeting first.).
my jw lady friend still goes out "in service" and stays in touch with her "service buddies" who also know me.. so she was telling me that they asked about me and mentioned that they would like to stop by to see me.

This is a fascinating document. I would love to read an accurate translation, the fractured English just gives the flavor. It looks to me that the text has been subjected to rigorous examination. The advances in thinking has made this branch of learning scientific with a computer program (named BAAL) analysing the vocabulary used and measuring the results being one of the tools. The people who have examined the material have used recognised methods of evaluation before reaching conclusions.
This judgement is not going to be easy to overturn. There is every reason to view the material as being at least anti-social. Having said all that, banning a religion is a big step. Voltaire said “Think for yourselves and let others enjoy the privilege to do so too”. That is the freedom we need.

I have two take aways from the zoned out meeting

i was surprised there was no special annoucements or more new light.
the first thing is that we know that the org is having a difficult time having young males reach out to be a ministerial servents to carry microphones and adjust the height of the podium.

by punkofnice ini have words that irritate me and not always without reason.. my latest hate is the word: 'solutions' as used by so many businesses in their title these days.
y'know, 'something innane business solutions' and such balderdash.. i loathe that word now.

Girls names
by FeelingFree inok so i know its not really anything to do with jwness but we are struggling with baby names and really can't think of one we both like.

It is official they're selling off Kingdom Halls in Britain

a letter was read today from bethel addressed to all congregations in britain that can only be described as the biggest news for years.the main points:.

Just to add insult to injury there was also a letter asking for £3 per head for some sort of non-insurance insurance. This amount was to look after KHs, bethels etc affected by fire flood etc. This amount though would not go into a specific insurance fund, it would go into the WWW fund. Now, they have had all the excess, the only amounts left should be the day to day running costs, the rest is paid to the WWW. So now they want all we have and then, in excess, extra money that they would get anyway. Huh?
Our congregation just put their hands up and paid. It takes your breath away.

Step 2 Cut out 2nd mid week meeting during CS visit
Step 3 Make 4 congregationss per hall the norm
Step 4 Sell the excess halls Step 5 Replace any old halls left with cheap off the shelf boxes
Step 6 Spend the profit.
